Jim Brenek has been a tool maker since 1971 and is also an avid astronomer. He is a member of the second oldest astronomy group in the United States, Skyscrapers, Inc., The Amateur Astronomical Society of Rhode Island. This combination of experience makes him the perfect person for building a pier and making on the fly modifications to exiting designs.
The pier shown below was designed by Country Hill Observatory for use in it's observatory. You can download the pier design/template here. During the building process Jim had to make some minor modifications to the original designs but this was not a problem due to his experience in astronomy.
When this pier was delivered it was absolutely perfect in every way. Jim's attention to detail is unsurpassed. Unfortunately Jim currently does not build custom piers as a living but I am sure he would if the price was right.
